Wendy’s is blending nostalgia with innovation by launching its Thin Mints Frosty on February 21, 2025—a limited-time collaboration with Girl Scouts of the USA. The dessert marks the fast-food chain’s first partnership with the iconic cookie brand and introduces a mint-chocolate twist to its signature frozen treat.
A New Twist on a Classic
The Thin Mints Frosty features a cookie butter swirl infused with the flavors of crushed Thin Mints cookies, creating a crumbly texture reminiscent of the frozen cookie itself. Unlike traditional mix-ins, Wendy’s developed a fudge-like sauce to maintain the Frosty’s signature creamy consistency while delivering the cookie’s distinct mint-chocolate profile. For the first time, customers can enjoy the swirl in both Chocolate and Vanilla Frosty bases.
Seasonal Innovations and Returning Favorites
The Vanilla Frosty—a fan-favorite often displaced by seasonal flavors—returned to menus in January 2025 after a months-long hiatus. Its comeback aligns with Wendy’s Frosty Key Tags program, which offers daily free Jr. Frostys through December 2025 while supporting adoption charities.
Looking ahead, Wendy’s plans to expand its dessert lineup further:
- April 2025: Introduction of caramel, strawberry, and brownie batter “Frosty Swirls” for customizations.
- Mid-May 2025: Launch of “Frosty Fusions,” allowing mix-ins like candies or cookies—a direct challenge to McDonald’s McFlurry and Dairy Queen Blizzards.
A Legacy of Flavor Experiments
Since debuting its original chocolate Frosty in 1969, Wendy’s has rotated limited-edition flavors like Pumpkin Spice (2023), Salted Caramel (2024), and Pineapple Under the Sea (2024). The chain sold over 500 Frostys per minute in 2024, cementing its status as a fast-food dessert leader.
“You can’t get more nostalgic than a Wendy’s Frosty and Girl Scouts,” said John Li, Wendy’s VP of Culinary Innovation.
The Thin Mints Frosty will remain available through spring 2025, with no confirmation yet on future Girl Scout collaborations. Meanwhile, fans can still purchase $3 Frosty Key Tags through February 15 to support adoption initiatives.
